I’m sorry my faithful readers that I am not very faithful. It is hard since I don’t have my own computer, and the internet is super expensive. :/ But here are some new things to share!!
Roommates: I have three wonderful roommates!
- Kailynn (She is a crazy girl from Canada. I get to use her lap top once in a while, so I can keep in contact with you all! The rest of us roommates give her a hard time for being the only Canadian).
- Savannah (she is from Oregon! And she lives about 15 min from my house. Crazy, eh?).
- Amanda (She is a sweet girl from beautiful Seattle, Wa! I’m so happy she lives somewhat close to me).
We all get along surprisingly well, a lot better than the other rooms here. The other day we had a plaid and glasses day. It was great. :)
Food: It is normal here. Same sort of stuff that I would have back home. The only different food here is lamb. Of course we eat that, seeing that we live in the land of sheep! :) I don’t like it, because it reminds me of goat, and that is gross. We also have a tea time here, every morning at 10:20am. That is my favorite time of day! I love it, and I plan to incorporate it into my schedule once I get home. :)
Family groups: I can’t believe I haven’t said anything about my “family” here! This is probably one of the things I really look forward to every week.
When I arrived at school, I was assigned to a “family”. A family group usually consists of 5-6 students, a staff member and his family. I was put into the Burgess family. My father is Dean, our amazing cook here at school. He has a sweet wife Sarah, and three little girls: Annalise (7), Sophie (5), and little Amelia (2). The girls are seriously beautiful with big, brown eyes, and long dark brown hair. :)
I also have 5 more student siblings.
- Jenna is 18. She is from Vancouver, Canada. She is the “loud one” on the group, but we all love her to death. :) Her laugh always makes me laugh.
- Talia is 18, as well. She is another one of those Canadians. She is super quiet at times, but then can be rather sarcastic. She’s great. :)
- Annalie is 25, and she is from Germany! At first, she was really quiet and didn’t talk much, but now she is quite talkative and super sweet. She will, sadly, only be here for Term One, till the end of March.
- Mitch is 19, and he is from Vancouver Canada, as well. He is a very talented worship leader and musician. I enjoy making music with him. :) He currently has a rather long mustache and gotee, so he kind of looks like a goat. :P Not really, he's great. :)
- Dan is 24 and from Wisconsin. Praise Jesus for another American! :) He’s short like me. He also is very outdoorsy, and always wears a backpack. We plan to work on memorizing our verses together.
So that’s my family. I love them all. We have so much fun together! I love it.
Oh my word! What an adventure! I laughed SO HARD reading this!! Totally something I see you doing! I can't get over the different people you met! Quite the eventful day! Sounds like you had fun tho! :)
